Position Overview: Snowmakers must be very interested in working outside in extreme, challenging and ever changing winter weather conditions. Snowmakers spend the majority of their 12 hour shifts outdoors. Hours of shifts may vary depending upon weather, temperatures and other naturally occurring factors. When the snowmaking season has ended, your job may shift to other departments at Granite Peak Ski Area. $12.50 per hour
Position Overview: Lift operators are on the front line and are constantly in direct contact with guests during their entire shift. Operators are responsible for greeting and safely loading and unloading each guest. Operators must be able to multi task while paying close attention to detail while loading and unloading skiers and snowboarders with different ability levels. Lift operators must be interested in working outside in all weather conditions. $10.00 per hour
Administrative Assistant/ Customer Service
Position Overview: Granite Peak Ski Area is seeking a part time seasonal Office Assistant, available nights and weekends now through April. The position will provide general administrative support to the office management staff and assist guests with lodging, ticket and general ski area related questions.
Rental Shop Technician
Position Overview: Rental shop is a fun, fast paced environment in which staff is in direct contact with guests throughout an entire shift. Rental Shop Technicians are responsible for fitting and adjusting skis, snowboards, bindings and boots. Employees must work as a team to provide each guest with a friendly, fast and easy experience to get them through the rental shop and out on the slopes as quickly as possible. $9.00 per hour
Position Overview: Food service positions include cashier, cooking, bussing and general cleaning in the Historic Chalet Kitchen, Sundance Chalet Kitchen, 10th Mountain Outdoor Grill and Stone’s Throw Away CafÃ©. Employees are responsible for keeping the food service areas clean and presentable. Job tasks include preparing hot and cold food and beverage and serving a wide variety of items in cafeteria style environment, clearing and cleaning tables and keeping the chalets neat and organized. Applicants must be helpful, enthusiastic, patient and extremely accurate with financial exchanges. $9.00 per hour
Position Overview: Ticket Checkers ensure that all guests have a valid lift ticket or season pass and help those who may not in a friendly and timely manner. Ticket checkers are also responsible for organizing guests into efficient lines to create an uninterrupted flow of loading chairs, while at the same time providing them with information and directions to enhance their skiing or snowboarding experience. $10.00 per hour
Alpine Learning Center/Instructor
Position Overview: Passion for snow sports is a must for all employees of the Alpine Learning Center. Beginning and experienced instructors are encouraged to apply. Instructors teach alpine skiing and/or snowboarding to Granite Peak Ski Area guests of all ages and ability levels in a private or group setting. Instructors must be patient, friendly and courteous at all times. Granite Peak Ski Area offers lessons during all hours of operations therefore length of shifts and lessons vary from day to day. Instructors must be available nights, weekends and holidays. $10.00 per hour/lesson
Position Overview: The Granite Peak Ski & Sport shop carries merchandise such as jackets, snow pants, hats, gloves, facemasks, helmets and goggles as well as gift items and take home Granite Peak apparel. Employees are responsible for helping find the perfect product to suit each guests needs and make their day the best it can be. Other responsibilities include assisting guests, completing register transactions, displaying and organizing merchandise, and keeping the shop clean and presentable. $9.00 per hour
Position Overview: Ticket sales staff work one-on-one with the customer selling lift tickets and rental equipment products to best suit the individual or family’s needs during their vacation at Granite Peak . Staff also will give direction and answer any questions guests may have as well as providing literature and trail maps. Applicants must be helpful, enthusiastic, patient and extremely accurate with financial exchanges. $9.00 per hour
Terrain Park Crew
Position Overview: Our terrain park crew is responsible for hand raking all take offs, lips and landings to provide our guests with the best riding conditions possible. The crew will be continuously moving and adding features to the Parks. Crew members must have experience riding in the park and must be dedicated to keeping our Terrain Parks fresh and innovative. $9.50 per hour
Position Overview: Bartenders serve guests in a friendly, helpful and timely manner. We look for bartenders with great communication skills that are very personable. Previous experience is preferred but not required. Applicants must be helpful, enthusiastic, patient and extremely accurate with financial exchanges. Other responsibilities include directing guests, clearing and cleaning tables and keeping the bar area neat and organized. $7.00 per hour
Position Overview: Cocktail waiters/waitresses will provide prompt and professional beverage and appetizer service. Must be friendly and have strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail. Previous experience is preferred but not required. Other responsibilities include directing guests, clearing and cleaning tables and keeping the chalet neat and organized.
